15, 6pm-8pm at Viewpoints Gallery, Makawao, HI.
Open to any Plein Air
Painter of Hawaii Signature or Artist Member in good standing.
Artists may submit work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache or
pastel mediums. Work must be entirely original, 90% completed
en plein air and done in the last two years. Work done under the
guidance of an instructor or in a workshop is not eligible. Image
size must be no larger than 16” x 20” and frame dimensions
must not exceed 24” x 28.” Work must be framed and
ready to hang. No saw-tooth hangers. Works on paper must be framed
using plexiglass, Glass is not allowed. PAPOH and Viewpoints Gallery
will not be responsible for damage, loss or replacement.
Entry is by slide submission
only in standard 2” x 2” slide mounts. No glass or
odd-sized mounts. Name of artist, title, size and medium must
be clearly marked on the front of each slide, with the top of
the image indicated by a red dot (see illustration). Up to five
(5) slides may be submitted, Fees are $12 per slide. Entry fees
are nonrefundable and must accompany entry form and slides. Checks
should be made payable to Plein Air Painters of Hawaii. Please
enclose a SASE #10 envelope for results of jury notification and/or
return of slides with adequate postage for slide return. Entry
must be postmarked no later than February 10, 2006. and must be
received by PAPOH no later than February 15, 2006. Entries should

Shipped
work must be received by April 10, 2006. Shipping address will
be announced in letter of acceptance. Hand-delivered work must
be delivered to Viewpoints Gallery, 3620 Baldwin Avenue, Makawao
HI on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 between the hours of 10 and 4
pm. No early or late deliveries accepted. Paintings must be identical
to juried slides. Substitutions will not be accepted and prices
may not change after entry. Unsold accepted entries must include
pre-paid return postage and $20.00 check made out to PAPOH for
packing and return of work.
Neither Plein Air Painters
of Hawaii or Viewpoints Gallery nor any employees, officers or
volunteers will be responsible for loss or damage to slides and/or
artwork. PAPOH recommends participants carry their own insurance.
Permission is granted to PAPOH and Viewpoints Gallery for reproduction
of artwork for exhibition catalog or advertising purposes. Participant
signature on entry form acknowledges these terms as agreed.
Awards for First through
Third Place will be given as well as a People’s Choice and
Artist’s Choice Award.
All work submitted available
for be for sale at the time of the show. Artist to receive 45%
of all sales 5% of proceeds go to PAPOH, 50% Viewpoints.
