With my husband and our camper we travel to places near and far, always in search of that new painting. Other times we’ll hop a plane to the exotic islands of Tahiti and Hawaii or historic Europe in search of adventure and inspiration.”
Spending countless hours on location she is always amazed to learn something new from her constant companion and teacher, Mother Nature. She states,

Being out there is an integral part of who I am and what I do.” From some of these “on location” painting, Schlesier transforms them into larger studio paintings. She says, “In the studio I have the time to enlarge, perhaps
